Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Important Information Before You Book an Appointment

What sets our center apart?
  • Firstly, our treatment is drug-free and non-surgical. We use a manual therapy approach called the Muscular Balance Technique (we recommend reading our article on it). This allows you to avoid the risks associated with medication, such as stomach pain, dizziness, and the lack of focus caused by muscle relaxants.
  • Secondly, patients typically start to feel improvement by the fourth or fifth session, with the issue often resolving within one to two months. While some difficult cases may take longer, this timeframe applies to most, and the improvement is lasting, not temporary.
  • Thirdly, the doctor continuously follows up with you every 3 sessions to ensure everything is progressing correctly and your condition is improving.
Should I get an imaging scan (e.g., MRI) before I come?

If the pain is constant day and night and wakes you from sleep, an MRI is necessary. If the pain is intermittent or only increases with effort, a scan is not essential.

I've had physiotherapy before and it didn't work. Why?

It’s highly likely your previous physiotherapy consisted of machines, electrical stimulation, infrared lamps, and spinal traction, with only 10-15 minutes of manual therapy at the end of the session. This approach often yields weak or no results.

Our treatment is completely different. The center works exclusively with the Muscular Balance Technique (you can read more about it in our article “What is Muscular Balance?”). Our sessions are entirely manual, with no machines or electrical devices. We focus on rebalancing the muscles in the affected area, which yields, by God’s grace, impressive results. You can see numerous case studies on our Facebook page.

Is there a female doctor available for female patients?

Yes, of course, we have a female doctor available. Each patient is treated by the same doctor from the first session to the last to ensure continuity of care and a thorough understanding of their progress.

How many sessions is the course? And when does improvement start?

The doctor determines the number of sessions after the initial examination, depending on the case. Generally, improvement starts from the fourth or fifth session.

Do all cases get better at your center?

The vast majority of our patients recover. However, in some cases, the doctor can determine from the initial examination that physiotherapy is not the most suitable path. In this situation, the doctor will guide the patient toward the correct treatment, whether it be surgery, arthroscopy, or radiofrequency ablation.

Can I send my scans to find out if my condition can be treated with physiotherapy?

You can read our article “Physiotherapy or Surgery?” and watch the video “Herniated Discs and MRIs” to get a preliminary idea of whether your condition might improve with physiotherapy or may require surgery. However, making a definitive diagnosis based on scans alone is not possible.

What if I'm outside Egypt or in a distant governorate?

You can book an online consultation. This allows the center to confirm if your condition is treatable here before you travel. For the consultation, we will send you videos of specific movements to perform. You will then send us videos of you performing these movements, along with your scans. The doctor will review everything and then speak with you to decide if our treatment is suitable and to estimate the duration. The final decision is not based on scans alone.

If your treatment is confirmed, we welcome you to our center for the duration of your therapy, after which you can, God willing, return home pain-free.

Do you have contracts with insurance companies or syndicates?

We do not have direct contracts with insurance companies or syndicates. However, we can provide you with official documentation of your treatment and its cost, which you can then submit to your provider for potential reimbursement.

Do you only treat the spine?

We treat all problems related to the spine and joints. While the doctor has focused on the spine and shoulder in his videos so far, we also treat most other joint issues, such as those affecting the hip and knee, as well as providing rehabilitation for conditions like post-thrombotic syndrome. The doctor will discuss these in more detail in the future.
